She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
I had such a great time reading this book. It starts off with a mystery and it keeps you guessing up to the last page. No, seriously, right up until the very last page. I love when a book can keep me guessing like that, and this is one I devoured in one sitting because I had to know what happened.
I was also a big fan of Noah Shaw, the mysterious hot dude with an English accent. Yowza. There is such great tension between Mara and Noah as soon as they meet, and, again, you keep turning the pages to see what's going to happen between these two.
And, like I said, her voice is just so good. Super authentic and lots of fun, even in the midst of this mysteriously creepy plot.
So, we have debut author + authentic and awesome YA voice + compelling and surprising mystery + mysterious hot dude with an accent. Yeah, that = pick up this book for sure.
