She also loved writing to her pen pals who lived across the country when she was a young teenager. Jessica loves to connect with her young adult self and puts a lot of hard work in her writing so young adults can connect with her books and characters. She enjoys spending her free time with her two dogs Gunner, who is a Mini Schnauzer, and Patrick, who is a Fox Terrier and Chihuahua mix. Jessica has many different authors she looks up to such as Gayle Forman, John Green, Courtney Summers, Sarah Ockler, and many more. Her breakthrough novel, In Real Life, and the inspirational novel.
